In addition to the Skaven, the Lizardmen, Dark Elves, and High Elves have been revealed as playable characters in the game, along with the Norscans that will be available as a pre-order bonus, or as paid DLC. Their strength lies in the brutality and massive numbers, and it may take the combined force of the surface dwellers to stop their crusade. In Total War: Warhammer 2 you’ll either have to fight or fight as the Skaven. They believe it’s their destiny to ascend to the surface and that they’re superior to all other races in the world. The Skaven form a massive subterranean empire that spans the various continents of the Warhammer world. Their civilization is built on the “survival of the fittest” mentality, and only the strong, cruel, and cunning Skaven survive. These underground dwellers are rat people are probably the greatest threat to the denizens of the surface. Another new playable race is coming to Total War: Warhammer 2: the Skaven.
